- Australia Inflation Jumps To 13-Year High Tuesday, July 22, 2008 @ 10:00PM(RTTNews) - Inflation in Australia increased in the second quarter of 2008 by the largest annualized amount since 1995. The Australian Bureau of Statistics reported Wednesday that its Consumer Price Index at the end of June was 4.5 percent higher than its level of one year earlier.
