How do I keep my do from destroying furniture when I leave home?
Every time I am away I come home to a mess. My dog has chewed up the living room furniture to the point of embarrassment. I love the dog and right now am afraid to buy any new furniture. HELP PLEASE!

- Your dog hase anxiety issues. Try putting him in a crate when you leave home.
- Give him two tennis balls or something else he can chew up and destroy instead of furniture. SPray bitter apple on the furniture. Or you could crate him.
- How old is your doggy? Is he a puppy. If he is a puppy don't leave them the roam of the house. Leave then in the kitchen with a gate or something but never free roam of the house. Also try some Bitter Apple Spray. Also I agree with the crate. And give him some toys:) If he is an adult read above:) Good luck!!:D
- This sounds like you need to crate train, it can save your house and help you keep your dog.
- These are your options: Crate the dog when you can not supervise it. or You can pay someone to dog sit everytime you leave your home.
- Here's a simple way: Crate the dog while you're not home. :)
- Ahhh, don't leave the dog loose in the house when you are not home. It's like leaving a 2 yr old child alone loose in your house. Crate the dog or leave him in a laundry room or bathroom or put up a baby gate to keep him in a certain area of the house. Leave him with a stuffed Kong or two to keep him busy.
- He needs to be crated when you are not home.
