Why would anyone want "cafe style" furniture in their home?

There's a ridiculous advertisement in Australia which tries to flog "cafe style" in your own home... Surely the point of Cafe furniture is to furnish a cafe?

1. Depends on the look you want. A friend of mine designed his dining room to look like a cafe in the 50s. It's so authentic. Every one likes different things. I see nothing wrong with wanting cafe style furniture.
2. Why so closed minded?....To each his own!
3. I suppose there are different "cafe style" settings, and this smacks of being available to make more moolah. I suppose it's being advertised to the hilt, and since it's "the new thing" there is a percentage of people who must have it. My personal choice would be a more comfortable setting. But if you make it, they will buy. The gas guzzlers are a good example of that.
4. One would think that was the point... but pointy-headed consumer masses think otherwise :P
