How to eliminate the old scent in furniture?
I got a dresser from someone which looks vintage and I like it a lot. It must be at least 20 years old. However, it has an old, unpleasant scent inside the drawers. How can I get rid of that?

- Go to your local hardware and purchase some cedar wood balls and put these in the drawers. If you dont like cedar, wipe the inside of the drawers down lightly with a citrus based furniture polish.
- Grab yourself a new newspaper! Crumple up the newspaper and fill the drawers with the crumple-balls. Leave there for a few days to a week, remove the newspaper and the small should be gone or reduced. If only reduced, do the process again. If that doesn't work, try setting in each drawer a dish with some vinegar in it. Leave for (again) a few days to a week. The vinegar will be gross smelling, but once that smell fades, it should take the smell of the years gone by with it.
- Take out the drawers and clean with plain water.then while they are still wet, spray some vinegar in them.Litely.Put a fan on to dry them well.If smell is still there, spray again,it will work.
