What corner of the antiques and collectables market should make for good investment over the next 5 years?

1. Definitely gold and silver numismatic coins. There currently is a run on silver 1oz and 10oz bullion, Morgan and Peace silver dollars will be the next wave.
2. I think Mid Century Modern is coming back with a flare. Look at any website such as west elm.com or trendy furniture and you see the free form glass, low contemporary style sofa's settes, chairs, beds, lamps, and almost all accessories. It is still considered "retro" and can be found at just about any thrift store for cheap. Its hard to find perfect items, but they are out there!
3. stuff from the 1960's and 1970's alot of it is selling cheap but is starting to go up in value ..
