Where can I get RETRO furniture and home decor, and how should I decorate?
I LOVE retro stuff, like from the 50's, 60's, and 70's, and I really want to redo my bedroom in that kind of theme. Where can I get furniture (in good condition) and home decor (including bedding) from those eras? Also, any tips on how to decorate? Thanks :) Thanks, everyone! :) Also, anyone have specific websites or links? Thanks

- Check the goodwill store. I have found some pretty nice pieces in good condition there for cheap! Also check out garage sales and even estate auctions.
- antique or thrift shops or even garrage sales sometimes someones old "junk" could be someone elses room decor haha =)
- The Salvation Army Thrift Shops are chock full of mid-century modern furniture and decor. The price is nice, too. If you love that era, then I'd go all Eames and Franciscan. Franciscan had a wonderful pattern in the 50s called Atomic Starburst (you can find it on eBay in large quantities to see its pattern). The colors were a pale buttery yellow, dove gray, aqua, robin egg blue. Its focal point was an atomic pattern that would be very easy to recreate on a wall of interest in your room. To go with it, the same colors are very popular in decorating today and as trendy as they were then, they're more trendy today. You can find fabrics at Walmart or Joann Fabrics and all sorts of accessories at Target. So it can be very affordable. Go have fun with it!
- Try someThrift Stores and Good Will stores in your area.
- There is some great retro wallpaper at DesignYourWall.com. See link below.
- this site might offer a few decorating ideas http://girlsthemebedrooms.com/retro/flower-power-decorating-ideas.html
- I just want to share what I've found. There is something interesting in that web. Good luck.
