What is the best free website for determining the value of antiques?
My parents have lots of old occupied Japan, hull, mccoy, black amethyst, and other valuable antiques. What is the best website (free) to determine the current selling value of those items?

- You'll need patience, lots of it. There are no set values for antiques, just ballpark estimates. This is because different objects command different prices in various parts of the country/world. You can get a general idea of the value of a piece by doing a search on eBay and the various on line antique malls, however, mall prices are often inflated while eBay prices can be ridiculously low for good quality items. Usually, if something is extremely valuable you will find high prices at both eBay and malls. If you have pottery from different companies you'll need to learn which of their lines are more valuable than the others. Hull and McCoy produced pottery that now sells between $20-500 or more.
