Need info on shopping for home furniture in Beijing. Can it be shipped to me?Are there retail stores about?

Im looking to buy entire living room sets and a dinette set. I've seen great quality made in China furniture being sold at upscale stores here in the USA. Any advise on obtaining such stuff in Beijing? After shipping, can I still save $$$$?.,etc. Correct. I am NOT interested western looking furniture. I have seen some very good reproductions of 17th century French furnishings with the made in China stamp. Open to other styles too.

1. ....you are better off buying what you see in the u.s.a. .....
2. The furniture you see in the US stores is made to order for that market.In Beijing you will not find that stuff anywhere,therefore don't think of going for on line orders.
3. I do not quite agree with the comments made earlier in the trail of response. It depends what you are looing for. Are you looking for Western style furniture? If Yes, then I agree with the comment that you are better off buying the stuff in the US... If you are looking for traditional Chinese style furniture, then China is the place to buy or via some distributors / importers -- you can find those in the US. 5. you have to estimate shipping cost which is charged by volume not weight, air shipping will be a lot. By ship is the recommended way however your also have to pay custom fees if any, and then shipment from the port in the USA to your home. you do the figures.
