  1. I DO! but expensive? oops...out of the question
  2. Hey, if you find someone let me know. I bought a great old house and I have antiques from the 1890s. I am 25 - what the hell do I want with some dead old lady's knick knacks. Send your buyers my way.
  3. I LOVE ANTIQUE WEAPONS .... LIKE SWORDS,BOWS, and all kinds of armors and knight stuff
  4. I love antiques - mostly furniture. I do collect the Art Deco wire mesh purses by Whiting & Davis, or I used to. Have too many now.
  5. If these are valuable antiques, can consign them to an auction house that specializes in the catagory of things you have to sell. In an auction, the house adds their commission onto the winning bid. The next level down is a company that does estate sales, they advertise the sale, price and arrange things and take a commission from the selling price. (Say something sells for $100, they would keep 30%-50% depending on what you have negociated up front. Therefore if you need $100 from your item, it has to be priced up accordingly.) You can put your things in a consignment shop. Typically these will keep merchandise for a maximum of 90 to 120 days. If it doesn't sale at that point, you have to pick the merchandise up or it is donated to charity. They also take a commission from the sale. At the low end are garage sales, E-bay, and assorted other community web sites, like Craig's List. Again, if you think or know that your items are truly valuable, it would make sense to have them appraised by a reputable appraiser before selling them.
