ok, ok the people on Antiques Roadshow be acting surprised. Should they be? I mean most people that come?
on those shows are Expecting a Big $$$$ tag. However the ones that are expecting a big $$$$ tag usually get a surprise because it's less than they expected. So what should one's Pre-Attitude (is that a word or new term?) be when one is about to get Antiques Appraised? okay I like the way you worded it. much better than me gabbying and verbose with it

- Prepared for disappointment, yet be hopeful for early retirement? I enjoy the show, and nothing makes me laugh more than the folks that have a blank stare face that say "oh...alright" and you can tell they were hoping for mega bucks and they discover their "precious" is a fake! But other side of the coin, the folks that pull something out of the trash or buy something at a garage sale for a buck and find out they have an expensive high dollar piece in their hands. Those expressions are priceless!
- I Love Antiques RoadShow. Have you ever noticed the Ugliest Paintings are the ones that are always worth thousands of dollars. The things way back in BC that are very Rare are worth a few hundred dollars (go Figure). Anyone thats goes to ARS, should go with the knowledge of being Surprised, either way it goes.
