Can walls the color of Hawthorne Yellow from Benjamin moore, mahogany furniture, and vintage pieces work?

Yellow kitchen walls with cream trim, a simple (but not contemporary) mahogany table, with vintage jars used for things, also a little Martha Stewart style mixed in? Also a little pottery barn type style mixed in too. Yes, definitely. I always find myself saying cream because there is a paint from Behr called Vermont cream which is really a nice crisp but soothing white.
