does anyone know of any good stores for buying cheap vintage-y furniture?

- Try thrift stores first, you will get way better prices there. Antique stores are really nothing more then WAY overpriced thrift stores. Recently (last 5 years or so), there have been a LOT of "vintage" furniture stores popping up, you may find one of those around also. Try doing a search for vintage furniture + your zip, that should give you some results. Hope this helps
- Try Goodwill and also visit a Saint Vincent de Paul in Silicon Valley get great stuff....
- Go to the flea markets in your area! they are great for that kind of stuff, and it's cheap.
- good will or salvation army or pierone or ikea or crate or the pottery barn or go to auctions olde furniture thats in need of repair or refinishing is a staple of the sales
- Try Yard sale...goodwill store....and flea market....Yard sales....sometimes we have people moving and want to sell....or buy new furniture's. Good Luck
