How to paint old furniture a shiny silver?

I'd like to paint my old wood furniture a metallic-like silver. Can someone explain how to go about this to acheive good results? I'd like it to look like the 2nd room picture under this link: http://www.micasastyle.com/go/view/space/316663

1. I'd sand and prime your old wood furniture first. Then paint it. Personally, I would use spray paint. It's covers better, and will provide a smoother coat.
2. Clean you furniture well with TSP and prime with Kilz-it water based primer using a small sponge roller and foam brush. Take it outside and spray paint it with several "light" coats of silver spray paint.
