what are good items to buy for a vintage, colorful room?

i want to redecorate my room and make it include all the colors mentionable!!! im artsy, and like my things cheap, but modern. [12 yr olds dont have jobs] i need to find out what websites have detailed furniture that wont make me seem to girly, but caught up in fahshion. what websites or stores SHOULD i check out?!?
