mold on old furniture..how to clean and kill?
i have old furniture in a room with ventilation ..ceiling fans..but with the rain and heat i notice mold type stuff..i know that i do not want to use a wax i normally use for cleaning..need to kill mold without damage to wood..anu sugestions i can not put lysol on over 100 year old wood.....not...not any wood...anyone else that might know what they are talking about

- If it is mold it´s because your room needs more ventilation, Wipe down with a damp cloth , then dry- If you have a widow in the room leave them open for the day. If this is not possible then I suggest you buy a dehumidifier, This will help remove the dampness in the room. Leave it on all day.
- Try cleaning it with a damp soft rag and sit it in the sun for no longer than 10 minutes to stop and kill the mold from growing, then ventilate the room more or move the furniture to a better room.
- You're right, you can't apply harsh fungicides to wood. Murphy's Oil Soap is just great for this kind of thing.
