Hello... Does anyone have any ideas on how to advertise vintage furniture? First I want to thank you in advance for taking your time to respond. Well, I just opened a vintage furniture store and is going ok but I would like to know how to advertise without going to magazines for help. I do not have that much money. I do craigslist but do you guys know of other websites. I am thinking about flyers, they are cheap but I am not a flyer expert. I pay high rent and cannot afford not meeting a specific mothly quota. Please let me know if you guys have any ideas. I really love the flyer idea. What do you guys think? By the way my audience are middle class to upper people , designer , and studio stage sets, please help... thank you.

How can I reupholster a chair? Someone gave me an old chair. Looks cool in a vintage way, but some of the upholstery is worn. This may be a dumb question. But can any idiot reupholster or do you need special training? Are there any cheap ways to cover furniture? For example, I did a search and found a lot of decorative furniture tacks? What are these exactly. Since I have no upholstery experience, I was thinking of buying some cool looking fabric and tack it on the chair? Is that a dumb idea? Also, do furniture tacks stay put? I don't want them falling on the floor and me or my pets getting tacks in our feet.

Cheap bedroom ideas? Hello, hello, hello! :) I'm a teenager with a low wallet and a huge desire to re-decorate, or at least sorta 'chique' up my room! Right now I have light blue walls, and I really want white, antique-ish furniture. The look is pretty random, I have a red little table at one end, and a lamp draped in rainbow ribbons...as well as a fiesta fish I've put sunglasses on. I sorta wanna add a vintage-y but still crazy look...help, is all I can say. If you have any specific ideas, or great online stores I can go to, or even cheap/free ways to decorate my room, please answer ASAP! (BTW; don't tell me about yard sales, or dollar stores...I live in Orange County, I doubt there's a single dollar store around, and all yard sales have huge Luis Vuitton purses that are soooo last season. ;) And like no cool furniture for actual decorating...and even if they do, they are not cheap!) ViNTAGE ROOM?!?! 12 points!!? Okay, please help me!! Here's my problem, i have been planning a great redo for my room for like 2 years, and have finally found something i like. I want a room kind of like very retro, artsy, creative. Like a mix of the early ages [20s-40s] , the middish ages [50s-80s] and from the 90s and on. I like to be orgagnized or i go crazy, so some nice organization products that go with this would be so great and would most likely get picked for best answer. I ALREADY have my cream colored rug, off-white walls, [i want to paint them , so give me ideas!] and my like 1-year old all white furniture. I have a bed that has short posts but i can unscrew them and add like a canopy thing with long posts..which one do you think will look better? I have hot pink sheets, but they were cheap so i can always get new ones. Provide ideas/LINKS!! for comforter, lamps, room accents [oh and i am framing black and white photos], etc. THANKS AND PLEASE NO RUDE COMMMENTS I ALWAYS PICK BEST ANSWER!!!!

ideas for my new contemporary room (17years old)? I'm 17 and ive always loved the new age contemporary type style of rooms. So my dads adding onto our house and i'm getting a new room and i've come up with pretty much all of the design, i just want to know what are some good colors to add. i want to go with the red black white grey theme. (here's what i have so far--http://i26.tinypic.com/30ac6eo.jpg). does anyone have any other suggestions to the wall murral at the far end of the room? i'm into like vintage, hippie'sh , urban, random stuff.. so i dont know. just let me know any input you have on anything like the colors, furniture, and if i dont end up getting the hanging ball chair what should i put instead? ( i probably wont because the cheapest is like 600$) p.s. im getting a light grey shag rug(for those that want to visualize ha) Thanks ahead of time
